Thereby Hangs A Tale is a collaborative creative writing project.

Participation is open to the public.

Collaborators are invited to add 250 words or less to a story that begins with a passage supplied by Raising the Story to create a 5000-word short story.

Additions can be one word, one sentence, or several paragraphs.

New characters and new situations can be introduced but each addition must continue where the last entry left off.

Collaborators can contribute more than one addition to the story line but not consecutive additions.
